I know it's kitsch but I love tie-dye on babies! What can I say? It makes me imagine sweet little miniature hippies playing in the sunshine with daisy chain garlands! Anything that makes me think of sunshine is a good thing at the moment. We're having a spell of shocking weather. We've had storms the past couple of days which means indoor play, extra blankets and time by the fire.
I had a stack of old discoloured white baby singlets and tops which I really didn't want to go to waste. My solution was to throw them all into a blue dye bath. I couldn't resist giving a couple of the tops some tie-dye treatment.
I used rit powdered dye (royal blue colour) and the stovetop method. I have an old pasta pot that I keep especially for dying projects. You can check out their website if you want some more instructions on how to tie-dye.

Especially like the tie-dye singlet - takes me back! I lie because I never wore tie-dye but did see a lot of it back then.
