obsession...

I've fallen in love with these quilts over at anthropologie. Sadly the reviews all indicate that they are poorly made and fall apart so I'm wondering if I can make something similar. I have etsy RSI from searching for fabrics. It's hard to find anything with the same colour palette and feel. The closest I've come is Anna Maria Horner's Good Folks and Little Folks lines. Does anyone have any other fabric suggestions?

Oh and I just have to mention how awesome I think these chalkboard walls look!! I'm totally going chalkboard next time I redecorate my bedroom!

  1. I'm so glad you posted this! I am getting ready to paint a really big wall in black chalkboard paint. It extends from my kitchen, up the stairs, and into my bedroom. I was hesitating because of the bedroom part-but I am so tired of all the dirty handprints showing up along the stairs!

  2. When I was a boy they were called blackboards...

What about painting a wall in a room with a hard floor with it, for the Mint and eventually Turi? Or an outside door, even easier cleaning :-)

  3. I am reminded of items we used covet in the "Handcrafts of Asia" shops when we were newly weds in the 70's!! I'm not sure I want to revisit that phase in my decorating tastes. Chalkboards . . . more memories and not all good!

  4. Am I the only one who thought about accidently leaning on the wall in your dark denim or little black dress? Plus I hate the feel of chalk on my hands brrrr *heebies*

  5. That could be a problem - black clothes are my way of hiding the ink I seem to always get all over myself at work!
